New Board Members Needed
Do you want to make a difference in your community?
The Kingfisher Interpretive Centre Society (KICS) is seeking volunteer Board Members. There is a personal reward to become involved in environmental advocacy, assist with the efforts of enhancing local salmon populations and teaching today’s youth the value in maintaining ethical environmental disciplines.
Qualifications
Preferred, but not essential: prior non-profit board experience, demonstrated ability to work as a team, good communication skills, interest/passion for environmental and salmon stewardship.
Responsibilities
Attend monthly meetings, participate in and assisting with society outreach, fundraising and community/committee projects; commitment to a high standard of governance policies and procedures.

The Centre is overseen by a dedicated group of volunteers that comprise the Kingfisher Interpretive Society’s Board of Directors. This charitable organization is committed to ensure that the site is maintained, available to the public and is used for non-profit, environmental, cultural and ethical education for thousands of people throughout the year.
The KICS is a community salmon hatchery and international award-winning environmental education centre funded in part by DFO, Pacific Salmon Foundation and the Salmon Enhancement program.
