Egg Take Coordinator
Organize a life-changing experience! 

Purpose: To ensure the successful collection of brood-stock to fulfill our obligation to continue to raise Chinook salmon and provide salmon eggs to hundreds of local school children.  It is our most popular public engagement project, spreading knowledge and awareness of Lower Shuswap Chinook salmon.
Expectations and Responsibilities:
     - 
Oversee all necessary arrangements for salmon Brood Stock collection.
     - To provide communication with Fisheries and Oceans Canada to ensure boat and driver available for seining fish.
     - To provide a ferry boat to transfer volunteers.
     - Ensure all supplies are acquired.
     - Ensure the transfer of materials to the river site.
     - Direct volunteers to assist in any and all aspects of planning and execution of the event.
Time Requirements: Event takes place in October over Thanksgiving long weekend. Will need a month and a half to put everything in place.
Skills and Qualifications:
Organizational skills essential.
Have knowledge and understanding of brood-stock capture methods.
Knowledge of salmon egg and milt collection.
Orientation and Training: Basic orientation and safety.

Job Location: The Lower Shuswap River and Kingfisher Interpretive Centre.
