Nature Greeter
Spending time in the great outdoors while welcoming and informing the public.

Purpose: To provide information and understanding, by changing thought patterns and lives in order to help protect salmon and the natural world. Spreading information to visiting school children about salmon, First Nations, aquatic invertebrates, and plant identification, etc.
Expectations and Responsibilities:
Welcome visitors to the centre and provide information about the centre in an informative way, arrange tour times with summer student of executive director. Tally visitors.
Time Requirements:
Seasonal commitment: Spring (April to July), Fall (September to Mid October). Shared position.
Skills and Qualifications: 
- 
​Love of outdoors, great interpersonal skills, communications, and love of working with the public.
- Sensitive sector check.
- Previous knowledge about salmon, ecosystems, First Nations, water bugs, forest identifications is an asset but not        essential.
- Must be comfortable working with children and presenting information to groups of people, experience in this area is an asset.
Orientation and Training:
Basic orientation and safety.
