Kingfisher Interpretive Centre Visitor Rules and Guidelines

COVID-19 Rules

1. Do not enter site if exhibiting any symptoms, have travelled outside Canada within the last 14 days, or have been in contact with some who tested positive for COVID-19.
2.
 Please leave space between vehicles when parking.
3. Please bring personal sanitation kit.
4. Respect others and practice safe social distancing.
5. No public to enter any buildings, except outhouses located in upper parking lot.


Parking
 

Due to our emergency evacuation procedures these rules must be strictly adhered to
1. Use upper parking lot unless unloading or require special assistance.
2. Vehicles may not be parked whereas they will be blocking access to trails or the building.
3. No overnight parking of private vehicles.

Garbage
Due to the attraction of garbage smells to local wildlife these rules must be strictly adhered to
1. Pack out what you pack in.  Please ensure that you have left no garbage behind.
2. Do not dump any compostable materials in forest

Trails
1. Stay on trails while travelling through the forest
2. No picking of any plants.

Pets  
1. Pick up after pets
2. Respect the other users and keep pets under control at all times
3. Pets should not be left unattended at any time

Washrooms and Outhouses
1. Do not dump any garbage down the outhouses
2. Please note that the water is not suitable for drinking.

Kekuli
1. Absolutely no alcohol or drugs in the kekuli.
2. No fires in the kekuli

Firewood and Outdoor Fire Pit
1. No fires without permission
2. No garbage in fire pit.
3. All fires are subject to the regulations, guidelines and bylaws as set out by the Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations (FLNRO) and the Regional District.

If planning on utilizing the site with large groups please contact us  to ensure that the site is not booked by another large user group.  This is to ensure that everyone has access to all amenities.
